DIRECTIONS:
Through the Country: 17 minute drive to Huntsville via Highway 158. Take Highway 801 North Bermuda Run Exit, turn right on 801 North for approximately 6 miles, turn right at the 4 way stop onto Farmington Road, approximately 4.6 miles at stop sign. Prior to the stop sign on the left is Historic Huntsville Methodist Church. At stop sign turn left onto Courtney Huntsville Road, approximately .3 miles from Huntsville Baptist Church.
The trip is approximately 21 minutes If you prefer to take Highway 421 from Clemmons.

participating lineage societies, historical societies and organizations. Huntsville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. 7 -10 PM. Free and Open to the Public.
Saturday, October 11, 2025, 11 AM – 245th Annual Commemoration of the Battle of
Shallow Ford – Huntsville Methodist Church, Huntsville, NC – presented by the Bethabara
Chapter, NSSAR with cooperation by Battle of Shallow Ford NSDAR. Lineage society members wishing to lay a wreath or present a flag - when finalized you can follow this link
Saturday, October 11 - 12:30 - PM immediately following the commemoration ceremony. "The Battle of Shallow Ford: An Exhibition of Words & Watercolors" exhibition will be free and open to the public until 2:30 PM.
*A Catered Luncheon will be available by preregistration only - Seating is limited and expected to fill quickly! The luncheon will feature home made chicken salad on croissants and vegetarian options, potato salad, chips, deserts, sweet and unsweetened tea, water and coffee. *Lunch is $20 per person with the Reservation Form
*The first fifty (50) people who register will receive a free commemorative button from The Battle of Shallow Ford Chapter, NCSDAR!
* Very Special Opportunity to visit Captain Francis's memorial, the "Witness Tree" and Mulberry Field's Road area after the luncheon at approximately 2:30 PM. Bring comfortable shoes!
